Nicholas “Nick” Kolder, 91 of Barrington
Born October 28, 1922 in Chicago, passed away peacefully November 29, 2013 in Barrington.
Nick served in the United States Army during WWII, he was a Combat Infantryman, serving in North Africa and Italy. He earned a Bronze star and a Purple Heart with Oak Leaf cluster.
Nick is survived by his children; Diane (Bill) Allyn, Shay (Gregg) Riddle, and Tom (Cherie) Kolder, grandchildren; Billy, Michelle, Timmy, Scott, Brad, Nick, Luke, and Matt, and great-grandchildren; Andy, Isabella, Sara, and Zella Rose. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years Evelyn, his daughter Sharon Kolder, brothers; Tony, John, and Wally, and sisters Donna and Anne.
Visitation will be 5pm-7pm Sunday, December 1 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St, Barrington. Mass of Christian Burial at 11am Monday December 2 at St. Anne Catholic Church, 120 N. Ela Street, Barrington, with visitation from 10am until the time of the mass at the church. Burial in St. Adalbert Cemetery in Niles.
