Norma Kenney

The memorial service for Norma M. Kenney (nee Hollister), 86, will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 2, at Lutheran Church of the Atonement, 909 E. Main St. (Lake-Cook Road), Barrington, IL 60010. Burial will be private in Glen Cemetery, Paxton, IL.

Born March 12, 1929, in Paxton to the late Harry Hollister and Merle Hollister Beck Johnson, she died Saturday, April 4, 2015, at her home after a valiant, 12-year battle with cancer.

Mrs. Kenney enjoyed singing in the church choir for over 50 years, traveling, gardening and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Robert; sons, Mark (Debra) of Rio Rico, AZ, Craig (Therese) of Algonquin, and Bruce of Cary; grandchildren, Jessica (fiancé Paul Holmer) and Patrick (Abigail) Kenney and Paul Berg; and sisters, Betty Swick of Ocala, FL and Dorothy Bloomquist of Paxton.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Mrs. Kenney’s name may be made to Lutheran Church of the Atonement, or the charity of your choice.
