Norman “Norm” A. Finnell,93, of Algonquin, passed away, Thursday, December 22,2011, in Elgin.

He was born on March 6, 1918 to Noble and Ida Finnell.

Norm was a member of Marengo United Methodist Church in Marengo and the American Legion Post #670 of Algonquin. He was active in Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Little League and Pony League in Algonquin. Norm loved to do woodwork and play golf and cards; he will be missed by many.

Norm is survived by his loving son, Dennis (Donna) Finnell; grandchildren, Brett (Robin) Finnell, and Lisa (Adam) Howard; great-grandson, George Howard; step-great-grandchildren, Victoria Hartwell and Ethan Hartwell; brothers, Kenneth Finnell and Ted Finnell; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Jewell (Jack) Smith, Rose Marie (Jim) Wozniak and his parents.

Service and Burial will be held privately.
