Olga Patricia “Pat” Mayer of Genoa City, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Monday June 3,2024, at the age of 89.
Pat spent a good part of her life and Career in the North side of Chicago as an Administrative Secretary to the Vice President of Dr. Scholls Foot Products, where She was employed for over 20 years. While at Dr. Scholls, she even partook in some modeling for their magazine. She also worked as a caregiver at Visiting Angels in Huntley, IL and for many years drove a school bus for Barrington Transportation. Pat was selfless, enjoyed taking care of others and always put the needs of others before her own.
Pat was also an Iowa native, where she grew a deep appreciation for nature and the outdoors. She owned several homes on the Fox River and enjoyed fishing and boating. She is well known for her deep appreciation for animals and especially her lifelong love for cats.
Pat is preceded in death by her parents Albert and Caroline Hein, her husband, Donald B. Mayer and her brother Richard Hein.
She is survived by her children James (Gina) Esperson, Cindy (Don) Reilly, and Renee (Dennis) Bridges; Grandchildren Leslie, Jamie, Gabriella and Nicole; and great-granddaughters Mia, Sofia and Nicolette, and by the entire Hupalo Family. She will be greatly missed for her kindness, quiet intelligence and loving heart.
Visitation will be Friday, June 7, 2024, from 10 AM until the funeral service at 12 Noon at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave. (Rte. 176), Crystal Lake, IL 60014. Interment to follow at Windridge Memorial Park, Cary.
