Palamon "Pal" Gonzales

Palamon “Pal” Gonzales, 83, of Lake Barrington Shores passed away on Friday, June 12, 2020.   He was born in Chicago on July 15, 1936 to Guadalupe and Dionisia (Ortiz) Gonzales, the fifth of ten children.

Pal married Kathleen Stoffels at Our Lady of Pompeii Catholic Church in Chicago in 1966.  Together they raised four children, Sandra, Caroline, Gino, and Jason.

Pal loved Psalm 23, gardening, especially roses, and working in his huge vegetable garden.   Pal enjoyed refinishing furniture and was a talented artist excelling in oil painting and drawing.

He will be sadly missed by his wife, Kathleen; children, Sandra, Caroline (Charles) Kutrubis, Gino, and Jason; five granddaughters, Allie, Katie, Alyssa, Abby and Gianna; and his great granddaughter, Gabrielle.  He is further survived by his siblings, Milton, Jesse (Inez), Betty and Vicky; and many dear nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held later this summer.
