The Mass of Christian Burial for Pamela Michaeline Cavka (nee DeMarco), 70, formerly of Mount Prospect, will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Monday, May 5 at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 410 N. First St., Cary. Prayers will be said at 9:15 a.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave. (Rte. 176), Crystal Lake with a procession to the church. Burial will be in Windridge Memorial Park, Cary.
The visitation will be 2-7 p.m., Sunday, May 4 at the funeral home.
Born July 26, 1943 in Chicago, Mrs. Cavka took her last breath Sunday, April 27, 2014 at Good Shepherd Hospital, Barrington.
Pam, “Mom C” to her children’s friends, was an excellent cook and known for being full of life and love, and her big personality. She loved spending time with her family—especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Lisa (Doug) Durant of O’Fallon, Jacub (Jennifer) Cavka of Lake in the Hills, and Mirsa (Ed) Talic of Crystal Lake; grandchildren, Brittany and Brianna Durant and Justin and Jason Talic; and uncle and aunt, Richard and Charlotte DeMarco of Ridgecrest, CA.
Pam was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ed Cavka in 2008; parents, Palmer and Genevieve (nee Martorelli) DeMarco; and sisters, Penne and Paula DeMarco.
