Patricia Key Bobkoski

Patricia Key Bobkoski, 92, of Barrington, IL passed away with her children by her side May 3, 2023. She was born December 17, 1930.

Pat resided in the Barrington area for over 60 years. 20 of which were spent teaching in the Cary public schools.  She loved books and genealogy.  She read a vast range of books whose subject matter spanned American history, Mesoamerican civilization, literary fiction, and especially short stories written by her grandson, Alex.

She was overjoyed with the recent marriage of her granddaughter Betsy and took great pleasure in showing off the artwork of her granddaughter Catherine, which she proudly displayed on the walls of her apartment.

Pat is survived by her sons; Carl Bobkoski and Mark Bobkoski; grandchildren, Alex Bobkoski, Elizabeth (Enrique) Acevedo, and Catherine Bobkoski; niece, Claudia (David) Gerrard; and many other beloved friends and family.

Pat is preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Francis A. Bobkoski, who passed away in 1984; daughter, Lynn Bobkoski, who passed in 1968; parents, Wayne and Corinne Key; and siblings, Judith Lynn Bollman and James Bryson Key.

Burial will be Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at 11am at Windridge Memorial Park, Cary Illinois. A Celebration of Life reception will take place 2-4pm at The Garlands of Barrington 1000 Garlands Lane, Barrington, Illinois 60010.
