Patricia Cramer

Patricia L. Cramer, 88, of Barrington passed away peacefully on December 15, 2016. She was born on March 29, 1928 in Chicago.

Patricia is survived by her children, James (Liz) of Iowa City, Jerry (Marion) of Barrington, Kathleen Cramer of Wauconda, Deborah (Timothy) Hanisch of Palatine, Patricia J. (Daniel) Lavigne of Hoffman Estates, and Tom (Cindy) of Fox River Grove. She was the beloved grandmother of Andrea, Marielle, Rachel (Errol) Janusz, Jennie, Clayton, Jacqueline, Benjamin, Timothy, John, Madeline, Emily and Miah; and the great grandmother of Juliette and Cadence.

She was preceded in death by her adored husband, Arthur, who she married May 27, 1950 in Chicago; a son, John Michael; a granddaughter, Katherine; her parents, Ernest and Edna (nee Drewes) Laenertz; and brother, Dr. Ernest J. (Frances) Laenertz.

Pat was a lifelong horse enthusiast. She bred, raised, and showed prized Arabian Horses. She held memberships in the International Arabian Horse Show Association, ABU Arabian Horse Club, and was a 4-H Leader. Pat was also a devoted member of St. Anne Catholic Church, where she enjoyed being a Mass Greeter, and Community Minister of Care. Pat touched everyone with her friendly spirit, enthusiasm, wit, and determination to live life to the fullest. Pat will be deeply missed.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, December 23, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Anne Catholic Church, 120 Ela St (corner of Franklin and Ela streets), Barrington. The family will be receiving friends at the church from 9 a.m. until the mass at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Michael the Archangel, Palatine.
