Patricia Kirchberg

Patricia K. Kirchberg,71, died Saturday, Nov 5, 2011 surrounded by her loving family at her bedside. She was born November 20, 1939 in Chicago. IL, the daughter of James and Jean Wells.

She graduated from Taft High School in Chicago and went on to the University of Illinois Champaign where she met the love of her life and best friend, John Kirchberg. They were married on June 2, 1962 and for 49 loving years, they raised their family in Crystal Lake, IL.

In 1960, she was crowned Miss Crystal Lake, placed third in the Miss Northwest Suburban pageant, and was a contestant in the McHenry County Fair. She was a realtor in Crystal Lake for many years and opened Kirchberg Realty in the 70's with her husband. She was a past member of the Crystal Lake Country Club where she won a Class C Golf Championship.

Patti loved to dance and lived every day to the fullest. She was also a freelance artist who enjoyed painting and drawing, and often made hand drawn posters for her friends at special occasions.

She cherished her time with her children and never missed an opportunity to be with them. She was the life of every party, had a joyful disposition, and always had a smile on her face.

She is survived by her husband John of Crystal Lake; her children, Jackie (T.J.) Baumann, JD (Jill) Kirchberg, Jim (Myra) Kirchberg, and Jeff (Nicole) Kirchberg; ten grandchildren, Connor , Garrett , and Olivia Baumann, Alyssa, Nathan, Nicole, Ellie, Ryan, Ethan, and Danielle Kirchberg; and her sister Susie (Ted) Trownsell) of Colorado.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Jim Wells and Bill Wells.

Memorial Visitation & Service: Friday, November 11, 4pm until the 7pm service, Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave (IL Rt 176), Crystal Lake.
