Patricia Agnes (Henning) Masbaum

Patricia Masbaum (nee Henning), 81, of Cary, IL met the Lord on April 15th, 2021. She was born June 1st, 1939 in Chicago, IL.

Patricia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. She was a devoted Catholic who gave her love and time to the church in many ways including through prayer shawl groups, bible study, daily rosaries, choir, a catholic pilgrimage to Medjugorje, and leading grief groups. She loved to cook and bake for her large family, her meals creating memories for her loved ones and filling her home with love and laughter throughout the years. She was a vibrant, warm woman with a compassionate heart. She made anyone who entered her house feel like a part of her ever-growing family. Patricia always knew what to say to anyone she talked to giving loving, caring, inspiring, and spiritual guidance and support to anyone who needed it. Her family is comforted by happy memories with her at her home away from home in Apple Canyon Lake, IL, where she spent many years enjoying time with her family at the pool, lake and campfires.

Patricia lived her life fully and enjoyed an active lifestyle with many hobbies including singing, painting, gardening, crocheting, cooking, baking, and reading a book with her loyal dog Buddy by her side. She also loved taking family vacations with her kids and grandkids having many happy memories spent traveling. Patricia will be dearly missed by her family and friends but always remembered for her caring, strong, and selfless spirit. Her kids and grandkids would like to honor her by continuing to keep their loving family close and led by faith.

Patricia is survived by her children, Susan Masbaum, John Masbaum, Julie(Paul) Bauer, Jim (Renee) Masbaum, Jennifer (Steve) Parisi, and Rose (Clint) Green; grandchildren, Bill Pixley, Anthony Pusateri, Alex Pusateri, Zach (Vanessa) Bauer, Mellissa (Vinny) Serignese, Meghan Pixley, Taylor Masbaum, Jimmy Masbaum, Ben Masbaun, Hunter Masbaum, Anthony Green, Connor Masbaum,  Daniel Parisi, Samantha Green, Bre Masbaum, Bella Parisi, Brett Green, and Luke Green;  and great grandchild, Alaya Dailey.

Patricia now joins heaven with her loving husband, John Masbaum; her two baby angels; sister, Mary Boland; brother, John Henning; and parents, John and Agnes Henning.

Visitation will be Sunday, April 18, from 3pm until 6pm at Davenport Funeral Home and crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake.

Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Monday, April 19, from 9am until 10am with a procession to mass at 10:30am at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Cary.  Burial will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.
