Patricia Lynn Butler Meyers, 64, of Crystal Lake, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, June 25, 2017 in Barrington. She was born on June 28, 1952 in Wheaton, IL to James Edward and Mildred Helen (nee Schussler) Butler.
Pat graduated from St. Charles High School in 1970 and from Elmhurst College in 1980 with a B.A. in Marketing and also attended Monmouth College. She was employed by Baxter Travenol Laboratories in Deerfield as a marketing research analyst for 10 years before retiring to raise her family. She joined High School District 155 in Crystal Lake in 2001 and finished her career at Crystal Lake Central High School as an administrative assistant in Student Services. Pat’s friends best remember her for her irrepressible laugh and generous spirit. Her favorite color was pink, her favorite holiday was Christmas, and her favorite band was Chicago. She loved animals, but especially her cats, Tigger, Eva, and Wall-E who adored her more than any cat has loved a human. Pat loved to knit, collect Vera Bradley purses, and eat the flavor of the day at Julie Ann’s. Pat was her daughters’ number one fan, never missing an opportunity to cheer them on at various performances from elementary school through adult choir and professional theater. Pat loved her family and will be dearly missed.
Pat is survived by her husband, Tom Meyers; her daughters, Annie Meyers of Milwaukee, and Katie Meyers of Crystal Lake; her mother; her siblings, Michael (Patricia) Butler of Cincinnati, Cindi Butler of Downingtown, PA, Tim (LaVerne) Butler of Boston, MA, Shari (Hans) Kuhn of Salem, WI, and Dan (Steph) Butler of West Chester, PA; her uncle, Bill (Sue) Butler of Marietta, GA; and five cousins and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her father; and her uncle, Len (Mary) Butler.
A visitation will be held from 10am until time of funeral service at 2pm, Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake. Burial to follow at Crystal Lake Memorial Park in Crystal Lake. Pat’s family has requested casual attire with bright colors.
