Patricia "Pat" Ann Dew

Patricia “Pat” Ann Dew (nee Fabis), 78, of Algonquin, IL born on January 12, 1944, to the late James and Louise Fabis, passed away on January 20, 2022. Pat was the loving wife of William “Bill” Dew for 51 years; beloved mother of David (Angelia) Dew and Michelle (Jim) Johnson; dear grandmother of McKenna and Parker Dew; cherished sister of Marie (John) Diasio, Cathy (Chris) Wright, and Dominick Fabis; aunt of Janis Diasio and Linda (Rod) Bambach; and cousin and friend of many.

Pat taught for the Crystal Lake School District for 25 years as an inclusion aide at Canterbury and Woods Creek Elementary Schools.

Pat will be remembered for her commitment and passion for her job, touching the lives of many students, and her love of her cherished pets, especially Mitzi.

Those who knew Pat would describe her as a loyal friend and a fighter. She beat breast cancer but later succumbed to Alzheimer’s Disease.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the caring staff of Autumn Leaves Assisted Living in St. Charles.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Light of Christ Lutheran Church, 1700 Long Meadow Parkway, Algonquin, IL 60102.
