Crystal Lake, Illinois,PATRICK JAMES COSTIGAN Patrick James Costigan, 59 of Crystal Lake Born July 21, 1951 in Kankakee, he passed away Tuesday Jan. 25, 2011 at his home in Crystal Lake. Beloved husband for 33 years to Patricia (nee Wolles), loving father of Elizabeth (Jeremy) Piwnicki and Andrew Costigan, dear grandfather of Kelan and Patricia Piwnicki, adored son of Marie, and brother of Michael (LouAnne) Costigan. Patrick also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father James. In 1969 he graduated from Bishop MacNamara High School and went on to earn his bachelor?s degree from Illinois State University in 1973. In 1998, he was awarded ""Outstanding Buyer"" by the Minority Business Committee of the Chicago Minority Business Development Council. He was employed by Bay Valley Foods and was an avid White Sox fan. Visitation will be held from 3-8pm Sunday, Jan. 30 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave (IL Rt 176), Crystal Lake. Prayers will be said at the funeral home at 10am Monday, Jan. 31 before processing to St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 451 W. Terra Cotta Ave. in Crystal Lake for a 10:30am Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice and Palliative Care of Northeastern Illinois, Attn: Foundation, 405 Lake Zurich Rd, Barrington, IL 60010-3141, 847-381-5599.
