Patsy Schwartz

Patsy Van Schwartz (nee Hufford), 88, of Sycamore, and a former longtime resident of Barrington, passed away Saturday, September 6, 2014, at Lincolnshire Place in Sycamore.

She was born August 20, 1926, in Commerce, Oklahoma to the late Ernest and Clover (nee Van Landingham), and married the late John Schwartz on May 8, 1948, in Chicago.

Mrs. Schwartz was a graduate of Mundelein High School and the Vogue School of Art. She moved, with her family, to Deerfield in 1961, then to Barrington in 1969.

Survivors include her sons, Michael (Suzanne), Peter, John (Susan), and Paul (Marijo) Schwartz; grandchildren, Jason, Katie, Kevin, Jeff, and Maegan; and stepbrother, Richard (Jennifer) Counter.

The service and inurnment in the Ridgewood Memorial Columbarium in Des Plaines will be private.
