Paul E. Kurpier

Paul Earl Kurpier of Harvard, Illinois, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, January 24, 2022 with his loving wife by his side.

Paul was born October 15th, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois to Earl and Olga (Simo) Kurpier.  The family later moved to Crystal Lake, IL where Paul attended Crystal Lake (Central) High School, then graduated from Carthage College in Kenosha, WI.

Paul married Joyce Bellows in November, 1978 and cherished every day with her.

Paul will be remembered for his love and devotion to his family and was grateful for the wonderful times he was able to spend with everyone, especially over the last year.  He will also be remembered for his wisdom, quick wit, sense of humor, work ethic, willingness to always help out however he could, and his love for the dogs and horses he and his wife had over the years.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Joyce Bellows Kurpier, his children David (Kelly) Kurpier of Bark River, MI, Amanda (Ben) Hollensbe of Easley, SC, Michael (Melinda) Kurpier of Port Townsend, WA, Monica Affield of Woodstock, IL, Christopher (Terry) Affield of  Conover, WI, his brother Ron (Barbara) Kurpiers of Crystal Lake, IL, his sister Andrea (Frank) Pechart of Loves Park, IL, his grandchildren Bohdan, Brina, Braelyn and Rylee Hollensbe, Stephanie and Leanne Affield, Brenton Swearingen and Zack Maynard, and several nieces and nephews.  He will also be missed by his grand-dogs, Boomer and Kootie.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Paul and Zuzanna Simo and Edward and Ella (Schmitz) Kurpiers, his parents Earl and Olga Kurpier, his brothers Norman Kurpiers and Kim Kurpier.

Arrangements are pending for a memorial service this Spring.
