Paul Roger Olson

Paul Roger Olson, 67, of Wauconda passed away at home on December 25, 2017. He was born on October 24, 1950 to Richard and Josephine (nee Rathnau) Olson. Paul graduated from Downers Grove North High School in 1968 and received his BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1972. While in school, he worked as a co-op student at Sargent and Lundy in Chicago, where he went on to make his career for the next 38 years. During his time at the firm, he served as a Project Manager in the Piping Division for nuclear power plants, and designed and installed piping for a facility in Clinton.
He enjoyed skiing, cooking, golfing, and watching old movies.
Paul is survived by his daughter, Lindsay; stepmother, Maryanne (Slack) Olson; brothers Richard (Vera), Carl (Missy), Mark, and his niece and nephews, Andria, Nick (Chelsea) and Eric.
A memorial visitation will be planned at a later date in the spring.
