Paul Raymond Ruiz, 87, of Crystal Lake, passed away on August 12, 2013 with his family by his side.
Paul was born in Chicago on July 1, 1926 to Paul and Margaret Ruiz. He was proud to serve his country as a WWII Navy veteran. Following his service in the Navy,
Paul joined Application Engineering of Elk Grove Village and retired as the Group Vice President of Manufacturing. He was known for being a sports enthusiast, an avid White Sox and Chicago Bears fan. Paul loved spending time with his family and friends, attending services at Willow Creek Community Church, reading, dining, and watching movies. He was an active member of the Medinah Shriners, contributing to the Shriners Children’s Hospital.
Paul was married to his beloved wife June Ruiz (nee Franke) for 52 years until her passing in July 2009.
Paul was a wonderful father to his children, Paul J. (Sue) Ruiz, Susan (Bob) Maxey, and Darcy Ruiz; he adored his grandchildren, Joshua, Cody, Samantha, Nick, Crystal, Bobby, and Jeff; sisters, Pat Savino and Carole Giannini; nieces and nephews; and many friends.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ronald Ruiz; and loving wife, June.
Arrangements for Paul will be private.
