Paul F. Schardt

Paul F. Schardt, of Tower Lakes, passed away on September 11, 2021 at the age of 79, surrounded by his loving family.

Paul was a graduate of the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University, after which he served in the Air Force. Paul then transitioned into his role as a business executive, enjoying the last 40 years of his career creating and running the Unemployment Insurance Management Division for Martin Boyer Company, which is now part of Sedgwick. Outside of the office, Paul loved nothing more than traveling and golfing.  He enjoyed time with family and friends and had a joke for every situation. He encouraged those around him to laugh often and live big.

Paul is survived by his loving wife Donna (nee Brenner) of almost 40 years; his beloved daughters, KC Bleuher, Tina (Jim) Happel, Mary (Arnie) Weiss, Lauren (Erich) Mann, and Alyssa (Jack) McClure; his cherished sisters, Karen Forcade and Kathy Russell; and so many more loving relatives.   He was a proud and loving grandfather to Emilia and Amber Weiss, Kate and Ella Happel, Elise and Garin Bleuher, and Henry and Vivienne Mann.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Mary (nee Bolanes) Schardt; and his brother, Roger Schardt.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 16, 2021 from 9:30am until the time of his Funeral Mass at 11:00am at Saint Anne Catholic Community, 120 Ela St., Barrington, IL 60010. Donations in Paul’s name may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, alz.org.
