Paul Smith Sr

Born September 13,1941, he passed away unexpectedly Feb. 25, 2012 in Naples, FL.

Paul is survived by his wife of 49 years, Nancy (nee Moson), daughter Susan (Mark) Kienlen, son David (Claudia) Smith, grandchildren, Sarah Grace, Kevin, Makayla, and Ava Diane, brother  William G. Smith, sisters Peggy (Craig) Fry, and Kathleen Smith, and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Paul Jr. 

Paul was the owner of Complete Building Maintenance Co in Lombard for over 40 years.  He was an avid golfer with a competitive spirit.  Paul cherished the time he spent with his family, his grandchildren, and his golf partners. 

Visitation will be 3-9pm Friday March 2 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St, Barrington.  Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00am Saturday, March 3 at St. Anne Catholic Church, 120 N. Ela St (Corner of Franklin and Ela St), Barrington, IL, where he will lie in state from 10am until the time of the mass.  Burial in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery will follow mass.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Paul’s name may be made to Chicago Shriners Hospital for Children, c/o Medina Shriners Center, 550 N. Shriners Drive, Addison, IL 60101, who provided care and support to his granddaughter, Ava Diane, and continue to do so.

 

Visitation will be 3-9pm Friday, March 2, 2012 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St (Lake-Cook Rd), Barrington.

Funeral Mass will be 11am, Saturday March 3 at St. Anne Catholic Church, 120 N. Ela St. (Corner of Franklin and Ela St), there will be visitation at church from 10am until the time of the mass.

Burial in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery following mass.
