Paul Tamraz

Paul Daniel Tamraz, 80, passed away peacefully November 13, 2024 at his home in Naples Fl,surrounded by his loving family. Paul was born January 13, 1944 in Flint, MI to Sarah (Warda) Tamraz and Alex Tamraz. 

While attending Junior High School in Michigan Paul met the love of his life, Nancy Thorson. They would go on to attend college together at Michigan State University. After graduation in 1966 the newlyweds headed to Chicago so Paul could start his new job in automotive advertising at the Chicago Tribune. This would be the beginning of a lifelong career in the retail automobile industry where he made his mark in a little town called Barrington, IL. 

Paul always had a passion for people, a tireless work ethic, a generous heart, and a steadfast loyalty. He enjoyed golfing, playing gin with his card buddies, and socializing with his many dear friends, but his favorite thing in the whole world was his family! 

Paul is survived by his wife, Nancy; children, Megan (Mick) Austin, and Nicole Daniels; grandchildren, Abigail Austin, Madeline Austin, Jackson Austin, Cameron Daniels, and Alec Daniels; siblings, Jeanette (Dave) Smith, and Jane (Mike Marchak) Tamraz; and many nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sarah and Alex Tamraz; and sister, Phyllis (Bob) Snyder. A private burial service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Barrington. 

A Celebration Honoring Paul’s Life will be held at The Club at Wynstone, 1 S. Wynstone Dr. North Barrington, IL 60010 on June 13, 2025 from 2-5pm. All are welcome.
