Paul and Ann Kuick

Paul J. Kuick, 82 of Fox River Grove, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2021. He was born in Flint, Michigan and moved to Kenosha, Wisconsin with his parents Chester and Florence (nee Riedy) Kuick.

He graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana and after he worked for the State of Illinois for about 30 years before his retirement. Paul loved music, comedy and was always ready with a dad joke. He was also a human google and could remember what happened on any given day.

Ann Kuick, 74 of Fox River Grove, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2022. She was born in South Bend, Indiana and moved to Munster, Indiana with her parents James and Dorothy (nee Abel) Purcell.

She graduated from St. Mary of the Woods College and worked for Catholic Charites and later worked as a saleswoman at Pearson Education. Ann was always willing to help when needed and was an active leader with Al-Anon and CEA-HOW.

Paul and Ann were married on October 23, 1971 at Old St. Mary’s Church in Chicago.  Together they raised their children in Chicago before settling in Fox River Grove in 2015. Paul and Ann celebrated 50 years of marriage in October 2021.

Paul and Ann are survived by their loving daughters, Kathi Jorgensen and Meg Kuick; and their adoring grandchildren Kara and Lisa Jorgensen; and many brothers, sister, nieces, nephews and friends. They were preceded in death by their parents and Paul’s brother, Tony.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 11 from 8 a.m. until prayers are said at 9:45 a.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S. Old Rand Rd., Lake Zurich, 60047, before processing to Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 410 N 1st St, Cary, IL 60013, for their Funeral Mass. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Paul and Ann’s names to the charity of your choice.
