Prakash Amin

Schaumburg, Illinois,Prakash M. Amin, 63, passed away December 4th, 2010. He was born May 28, 1947 in Sinor, India to Manubhai Amin and Vidyaben Amin. He married Nalini Amin on January 22, 1979, in Baroda, India. He was a Pulmonary physician practicing at St. Alexis (Hoffman Estates), Alexian Brothers (Elk Grove Village), and Resurrection (Chicago). He attended M.S. University (Baroda, India). He was Resident of the Year at Resurrection Hospital (1976). Prakash Amin was a beloved husband, father, brother, and uncle. His life was dedicated to the service of others-- including his children, nieces and nephews, siblings, friends, temple, and thousands of patients. He was an exceptionally kind and generous man. He immigrated to the USA in 1974 and practiced pulmonary medicine here for over 30 years. He has transformed countless lives and his memory and legacy will continue to do so. He is survived by his wife Nalini Amin 61, daughters Shreena Amin 28, Cheshna Amin 26, and son Nirag Amin 23. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 7th, from 3pm until the time of service at 5pm, at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Avenue (Rte 176), Crystal Lake.
