Raymond Joseph Bedard

Raymond Joseph Bedard, passed away on Friday, June 28, 2019, at 7:09pm. He had suffered a stroke in the early morning of June 26, 2019. Ray began his full life in Shreveport, LA, born to his parents, Damas and Janie (nee Brangato). Ray, his brother, Roger, and mother then moved to Freeport, IL where they lived with his great uncle and aunt. Idyllic time was spent fishing with his dog, Rinso. His mother remarried and they moved to Chicago. This was a difficult adjustment at first, but Ray’s outgoing personality helped him have wonderful school years along with always having his brother, Roger, by his side. After high school, he married Joanne (nee Maass). She passed away in 1997. Ray married later to Darlene (nee Piontek) and they shared almost 21 years together. He is survived by his children, Steven, Andrew, Nicholas and Christine; brother, Roger; step-daughters, Elaine and Christine; and grandchildren, nieces and nephews. There will be a celebration of life for Ray at a later date.
