Raymond Edward Bieneman, 83, a lifelong resident of Cary, Illinois, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2024. Ray was born in Chicago on June 21, 1941, to Elmer and Patricia (Kent) Bieneman.
He grew up in Cary, where he watched the small-town transform over the years and collected a lifetime of cherished memories. He often shared vivid stories of his childhood, like grabbing a saltshaker off the table before heading out for the day to fish and enjoy salted apples at Silver Lake.
Ray married Pauline Hubbard, and together they built a life and family in Cary after enjoying nine years together in sunny Florida. He was a truck driver for over 40 years before he retired. An avid gardener and talented woodworker, Ray spent many hours crafting birdhouses, creating beautiful water features, and perfecting his cooking. He also found solace in the peaceful sounds of flute music and time spent outdoors fishing.
Ray will be deeply missed by his wife, Pauline; his children, Diane Bieneman, David (Lucy) Bieneman, and Jeanie (Jeff) Kulisek; his grandchildren, Christopher (Amy), Joe, Markus, Kyle, Josh, Tatum, Jonathan, and Estella; his great-grandson, Ashton; his siblings, Elmer, Patrick (Carol), Bob (Patty), and Julie; his brother-in-law, Joe; and his sister-in-law, Wynona. He is also fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, Maggie.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Patricia; his siblings, Margie, Betty Lou and William; and his daughter, Shanna.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ray’s name can be made to JourneyCare, Addus Hope Foundation, https://journeycare.org/donate/
