Barrington, Illinois,Raymond Smith Harding passed away peacefully at home on December 20 2010. Ray was born in Washington D.C., was a Korean War veteran, and was one of the original founders of IFA Inc. Ray was a longtime resident of Palatine and more recently resided at the Garlands of Barrington. Ray?s wonderful love of life, the Redskins, and loving support for his family will always be treasured. Ray is survived by his daughters, Kim and Allison; his son, Craig; their spouses, Michael, Brad, and Kathy; and his much loved grandchildren, Lindsey, Megan, Stephanie, Casey, Taylor, and Brennan. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Suzanne. A visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m., Wednesday, December 22, 2010, at the Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St. (Lake-Cook Road), Barrington. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Thursday, December 23, 2010, followed by the interment at the Windridge Memorial Park Chapel, 7014 S. Rawson Bridge Rd., Cary. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Ray?s name may be made to Season?s Hospice and Palliative Care, 606 Potter Rd., Des Plaines, IL 60016.
