Raymond Mietz

Barrington, Illinois,Raymond E. Mietz, 85 of Barrington Born June 9, 1925, he passed away Friday March 25, 2011 in Barrington. Raymond served in the Naval Air Service during WWII. He earned his Masters degree in Chemical Engineering and was a research engineer for American Can Co for 34 years before he retired in 1986. Beloved husband for 57 years of late Doris (nee Brehm), loving father of Deborah (Paul) Zech, and Donald (Lisa) Mietz, cherished grandfather of Tracy (Jon) Inman, David (Stacie) Zech, and Joshua, Sarah, Jessica and Robert Mietz; great-grandfather of Miles and Evelyn Inman,and Sophia and Jacob Zech, and dear brother of Alice (Bill) Hettinger. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Evelyn Tesch. In lieu of flowers memorials to St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Special Gift Fund, 720 Dundee Ave, Barrington IL 60010 or to the Hospice of Northeastern Illinois, 405 Lake Zurich Road, Barrington, IL 60010 in Raymond?s name appreciated.
