Raymond Reuter

Raymond E. Reuter, 85, Marengo, passed away Sunday, July 13, 2014 at home. He was born March 1, 1929, in Barrington to George and Mary (nee Jahnke) Reuter.

Raymond served his country in the US Army stationed in Japan just after WWII. Upon returning to the States, he married Verna Klienschmidt on June 3, 1950. They recently celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary.
He enjoyed polka dancing with Verna and fishing with his sons.

Besides his wife, Raymond is survived by his children, Penny (Rudy) Stynoski of Hampshire and Randy (Wahida) Reuter of Crystal Lake; brothers, William Reuter of Fox River Grove, and Leonard (Susan) Reuter of Aurora, CO; several grandchildren and great-grand children.

He was preceded in death by his parents; ten siblings; and his children, Jerry Ray Reuter, Peggy L. Stanley, and David A. Reuter.

Visitation will be held Saturday, July 19, 2014, from 11am until the time of memorial service at 1pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave (Rt 176), Crystal Lake, IL 60014.
