Reverie Ann Sherwood, 68, of Cary, was born August 19, 1947 in Chicago to James and Mary (nee Grady) Sherwood. She passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 in Woodstock.
Reverie worked for W.W. Grainger for 36 years and retired as a manager. She was an active skier, president of Ibex Ski Club and on the board of Chicago Metropolitan Ski Council. She loved to travel, especially to Ireland and Alaska. She was a collector of Dept. 56, an avid scrapbooker, and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Reverie is survived by her siblings, Mary (the late Gregory) Ciolek, and James (Maureen) Sherwood; her nieces and nephews, Shannon Ciolek, Michael (Katie) Sherwood, Megan Ciolek, Neal (Brittney) Sherwood, and Kevin Sherwood.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
The family will be receiving guests from 4-8pm, with a prayer service at 7pm, Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake. Urn burial will take place at a later date at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines.
