A memorial service for Richard Allen Abbs,64, of Cary, will be held at 5 p.m., Saturday, April 7, at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main Street (Lake-Cook Rd.), Barrington,where visitation will be held from 3 p.m. until the time of the service. Born April 8,1947, he passed away February 5, 2012 in Milwaukee, WI.He was a Viet Nam War Veteran,having served in the navy. He is survived by his son, Chris Abbs, and a stepson, Michael Iommi.He was preceded in death by his parents,Albert and Jean (nee Bath) Abbs.
