Richard J. Gordon, 79, of Crystal Lake was born March 20, 1935 in Evanston, passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 18, 2015 in Barrington, surrounded by his loving family.
Dick was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed watching his grandchildren’s sporting events, traveling, and spending time with his family.
Richard is survived by his wife Carol; daughter, Kelly (Vince) McGuire, son Douglas (Marla) Gordon, step daughter Jennifer (George) Georgiafandis, grandchildren, Brennan and Kaitlin McGuire, Turner, Kaylie, and Connor Gordon, and step grandchildren, Nicole and Michael Mercure, George (Kaitlyn) Georgiafandis, and Melissa Georgiafandis. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and Richard Gordon.
Visitation will be 9am until the time of the funeral service at 11am, Saturday, March 21 at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave (Route 176) , Crystal Lake. Burial in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.
