Richard Harrington Jr

Richard W. Harrington, 43, of Crystal Lake, passed away unexpectedly, Sunday, December 9, 2012.

He was born on June 6, 1969 to Richard and Doris Harrington in Independence, Missouri.

Sports were his life. He was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers, White Sox, Bulls and the Bears. His nickname from his co-workers and football pool was "Captain".

Rich is survived by his loving wife, Mary (nee Byrne); children, Richard “Zac”, Tyler and Brock Harrington; father, Richard Harrington; sisters, Barbie (Frank) Balli and Nicole (Tim) Bolin; mother and father-in-law, Martin and Patricia Byrne; brother-in-laws, Marty (Debbie) Byrne, Tim (Sheila) Byrne, and Scott Byrne; sister-in-laws, Cheryl (Steve) Cafcules, Lisa (Glenn) Biallas and Cheryl Ward; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Doris Harrington and brother-in-law Mike Byrne.

Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at 6 p.m., Sunday, December 16 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake, IL 60014.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Harrington Family Fund, c/o BAE Credit Union, 616 W. Main Street, Barrington, IL 60010.
