Richard Arthur Johnson,67, of Lake Barrington passed away March 6, 2012 while visiting Mazatlan, Mexico. He was born December 25, 1944 in Chicago to Charles and Lois Johnson (nee Mau).
Rich was an avid lover of all contraptions of the land, air and water, with a brilliant mind for mathematics and mechanics. He was a graduate of Taft High School, president and founder of Norcon Electronics Laboratories, Inc.
Richard married his high school sweetheart, Nancy Ellen Christensen of Chicago, on June 24, 1967.
He leaves behind his beloved wife Nancy and children, Jeffrey W. (Andrea Lee), Jennifer M. (Roy) Gath, and Julie M. As well as his father, Charles and siblings, Janice Jenkins, Keith (Kathy), Christine (William) Rogers, Paul (Kathie), and Peter (Maris). He will be mourned by a multitude of very dear nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
Rich was preceded in death by his mother, Lois B. Johnson.
At Rich’s request no service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the donators’ charity of choice.
