Richard W. Lawrence

Richard W. Lawrence, of McHenry, passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2020.

He was born January 17, 1942, the son of the late Richard Ernest and Virginia Evelyn Lawrence.

Richard was a veteran of the US Army serving his country over 10 years.  He worked his whole career with AT&T.

Richard is survived by his daughter, Maria (Andreas) Karabinas; grandchildren, Fotini and Valentina; sisters, Mary Kathryn Corona and Stella Mae Foreman; brother, Charlie Patrick (Cassandra) Lawrence; brother-in-law, Dennis Hayden; many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews; and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Louise Hayden, Gracie Cupples and Artie Mae Turner; brothers, James Edward, Carl William, and Junior Lawrence; brothers-in-law, Horace Cupples, Jr., Danny Foreman and Anthony Corona.

Visitation will be held Sunday, February 23, 2020 from 2 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 5 p.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave (Rt. 176) Crystal Lake. Burial will be Monday, February 24, at 11 a.m. at Woodland Cemetery, McHenry.
