Richard Allen Molloy

Richard Allen Molloy, 64, of Saipan, formerly of Carpentersville, IL passed away peacefully on January 10, 2021. He was born on November 18, 1956 in Chicago to Robert and Ursula Ann (nee Monette) Molloy.

Richard proudly served for 8 years in the United States Marine Corps. He was a graduate of the University of Illinois where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting. He went on to become the Financial Director for the Western District of FEMA. He was a charter member of the Marine Corps League in McHenry County, where he was active with the Toys for Tots program. Richard was also known to be a master of making balloon animals.

Richard will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Yu Feng (nee Lin); children, Shaun (Tracy), Carly, Ryan (Tori); step-children, Jiagen, Mii, Mareko Lin Tekopua; his mother, Ursula; grandchildren, Kaylee, Brielle, Jace, Jameson Molloy, Michael and Michelle Mercado and Delayna Ness; siblings, Kathy (Randy) Lewis, Mike (Görel) Molloy, Colleen (James) Loewe, Tim (Rose) Molloy and Patrick (Mary) Molloy. Many loving nieces, nephews, friends and extended family also survive.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert.

The family will be receiving friends on Thursday, January 14, from 3 PM until the time of service at 7 PM at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave. (Rte. 176), Crystal Lake, IL 60014. Interment will be private.
