Richard Orsi, 79, of Crystal Lake passed away peacefully on June 20, 2018. He was born on January 1, 1939 in Teaneck, New Jersey to the late Attilio and Marie (Fox) Orsi.
Rich had a very unique and infectious sense of humor. He always had you guessing the sincerity of his jokes. Rich was a proud alumnus of the University of Notre Dame and also graduated with an MBA from Pepperdine University. He was an avid sports fan, especially when it came to his Fighting Irish. Those who knew him knew never to call on game day. He was a “self-taught pianist and a master magician.” He always made a lasting impression on those who were lucky enough to have met him.
Rich was united in marriage to the late Kathleen (Krzan) Orsi on December 28, 1974 in Long Branch, New Jersey. Rich is survived by his loving children, Stephanie (Jason) Dare of Peoria, IL and their children, Sullivan, Carson and Vivian; Kelly (Brad Musinski) Orsi of Cary, IL; Anthony (Jessica) Orsi of Chicago, IL; Richard Orsi II of North Bend, OR; son-in-law, Cliff Godier, husband of the late Tracie Godier, and the late Mark Orsi; siblings, Bill (Maureen) Orsi of Ellicott City, MD; Ginger Orsi of Brielle, NJ; Peter (Linda) Orsi of Manasquan, NJ; Jeanne (Brian) Froelich of Wall Twp., NJ; Gerry (the late John) Orsi; and the late Bob (the late Mary Ellen Olin) Orsi; sister-in-law, Diane (Charlie) Merla of W. Long Branch, NJ; brother-in-law, Bill Krzan III of Pemberton, NJ; and by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, July 1 from 1:00pm until the celebration of life service at 4:30pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave. (Rte. 176), Crystal Lake, IL 60014.
