Richard Spicuzza

Richard Peter Spicuzza, 81 of Barrington, died peacefully on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 in Barrington.

He was a resident of Barrington and an active member of St. Anne Parish for 47 years. He is a graduate of Fenwick High School, and DePaul University for both undergraduate and Law School. He served as the head of the Trust Department at the First National Bank of Barrington and Harris Bank for most of his career. He led a life of service, actively participating in many local groups, organizations and boards.

He is survived by his wife Patricia of 57 years; four children, Marie (Kort Gustafson) Spicuzza, Richard (Cindy) Spicuzza, Sharon (Ted) Popielewski and Ellen (Neil) Gull; eleven grandchildren, Gabriel, Dominic and Fernando Gustafson, Rebekah Moses, Katherine and Thomas Spicuzza, Mary, Matthew and Erin Popielewski, and Patrick and Emma Gull; sister, Annette (Robert) Roeder, many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents Salvatore and Angeline (Martine) Spicuzza.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m., Friday, March 27, at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main Street (Lake-Cook Rd.), Barrington, IL 60010.

The visitation will continue from 10 a.m., until the time of Mass, at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 28, at St. Anne Catholic Church, 120 Ela Street, (corner of Franklin and Ela Streets) Barrington, IL 60010.

Burial will be held at All Saints Catholic Cemetery, privately later this spring.
