Richard “Rick” Dana Tatak, 64, of Harvard passed away Friday, May 29, 2015 at home surrounded by family.
He was born on June 18, 1950, to Richard and Marjorie Sikkema at Great Lakes Naval Training Station.
Rick is survived by his loving wife of 12 years, Katherine Sheetz-Tatak; son, Michael Tatak; step-children, Ellen (fiancé Tyler Campbell) Sheetz, and Dylan (Jennifer) Stern; step grandson, Wyatt Stern; sister Ann Dietch; and father, Richard Sikkema; and mother, Marjorie Tatak.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Sherri Babiak.
Visitation will be held from 4-8p.m., Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake.
Visitation will continue from 10a.m., until the time of service at 11a.m., Wednesday, June 3, at Harvest Bible Chapel, 580 Tracy Trail, Crystal Lake, IL 60014
Burial will follow at Crystal Lake Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made directly to the church.
