Richard Wasilewski

Richard C. Wasilewski “Waz”, 61, of Crystal Lake, passed away after a brief illness on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 in Elgin. He was born on December 4, 1955 in Chicago to Chester and Janina (nee Fit) Wasilewski.
He was an avid fisherman and dedicated much of his free time to coaching youth hockey.
Richard is survived by his wife, Mary (nee Tomczyk) Wasilewski; his children, Michelle (Mark) Novoselac, Robert Sharley, Douglas Sharley, Andrew Wasilewski, and Cory Wasilewski; and his grandchildren, Brandon, Nicholas, Emily, Gianna, Vivienne, Sophia, Owen and Jace.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
A visitation will be held from 3-8pm with a prayer service at 7pm, Friday, December 30, 2016 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake, IL 60014. Interment will be private.
