Ricky Spears

Ricky D. Spears, 56, of Batavia, was born July 29, 1955 in Chicago to Richard and Janet Spears and passed away suddenly Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at Delnor Hospital in Geneva.

Ricky was a lover of life. He followed in his father's footsteps with his carpentry skills. He most enjoyed spending time with his family and those he loved. His quick wit and jovial sense of humor was loved by all. He will be greatly missed.

Ricky is survived by his parents; his children, Michael (Carlie) and Teri Spears; grandchildren, Brittany, Jordan, and Jaelyn; brothers Danny, Randy (Susan), and Tim (Ann) Spears; nieces, Amanda (Chad), Lauren, and Kailyn; and nephews Danny Jr., A.J., and Zachary.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife Anna in June, 2007.

The visitation will be held from 3-9pm on Monday, June 18 with a 7pm service at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave (IL Rt. 176), Crystal Lake. Interment will be private.
