Rita Krupp

Barrington, Illinois,Rita M. Krupp (nee Kelley), 58, passed away suddenly at Good Shepherd Hospital on Friday, October 1st. Services will be private. Rita was born May 22, 1952, in Elgin, the daughter of Jeanne R. (nee Flock) Kelley and the late Darwin T. Kelley. Rita attended Barrington schools from grade school through high school where she was involved in several school activities. She then attended the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. She also attended Northern Illinois University. Upon graduation, she worked in management at Lord & Taylor. She later worked for United Airlines as a flight attendant and pricing analyst. Most recently she was employed by Hewitt and Associates. Rita enjoyed the outdoors, spending her free time horseback riding, gardening, and especially walking her dogs. She held a special place in her heart for all animals. Rita was also gifted in sewing, knitting, and jewelry making, creating one-of-a-kind designs for herself and others. Rita is survived by her mother, Jeanne; two sisters, Linda (James) Welch Kemper and Kathy (Mark) Heyse; two nephews, Will and Ward Welch; and nieces, Leigh Welch and Gwen and Laura Heyse. She was preceded in death by her father, Darwin T. Kelley. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Stillwaters/Alcoholics Anonymous, P.O.
