Robert Blass

Robert G. Blass, 68, of Lake Zurich passed away peacefully on May 18, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 5, 1948 in Chicago, IL to Ralph and Arlene (nee Melby) Blass. He grew up in Deerfield, Illinois. He met his wife Margaret "Peggy" while attending college at Illinois State University.

Robert was passionate about many things, including canoeing, motorcycles, fishing, camping, and anything outdoors. His greatest passion was to experience all life had to offer; most importantly his family, children, and he had a special bond with his 6 grandchildren with 1 on the way. He remained a child in his heart up to his passing.

Robert will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 46 years, Margaret “Peggy” (nee Smith) Blass; children, Elizabeth Biscaglio, Jonathan (Pamela)Blass, Sarah (Nick) Fromm, and close Family friend/Daughter Erika McLean; His Grandchildren Pamela McLean, Nicole Morse, Caden Tingle, Ignazio and Maximo Biscaglio, Finnegan Fromm, and soon to be born Marshall Blass, his twin brother Randy, and younger brothers (Twins) Kent and Kerry. He is joined with his youngest brother Rick in Heaven.

Memorial service will be held Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at 4 PM at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, 647 Dundee Ave, Barrington, IL 60010; with reception to follow. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Michael's Episcopal Church- St. Cecilia Guild.
