Robert Collier

Robert Collier, 92, of Barrington passed away, Saturday, May 25, 2013 in Barrington.

He was born on May 26, 1920, in East St. Louis, Illinois, to Raymond and Ruby Collier.

Robert graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1941. He also attended the University of Chicago Business School, where he received his MBA. Robert retired from International Harvester World Headquarters, Chicago, where he was the Director of Purchasing & Traffic.

He is survived by his loving wife, Rosemary (nee Gaughan); sisters, Dorothy (Lowell) Ackmann and the late Florence (Gordon) Page; nieces and nephews, Barbara Peterson, Lee (Jakki Brooks) Ackmann, Robert (Jan) Ackmann, Rogers Page, Connie (James) Capp and Dorothy Anderson; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

Burial was held privately at Hampshire Township Cemetery, Hampshire, Illinois.
