Robert Blair Dietz

Robert Blair Dietz, 72, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2024, surrounded by family. 

Born on May 19, 1952, in Chicago, Robert was the beloved husband to Adrienne for 53 wonderful years. He was a devoted father to Christina (Brian Zalewski), Megan (Raymond Moresi II), Amy (the late Neil Margeson), and Melissa (Steve Alberts). He was a very active grandfather to Isabella, Connor, Raymond, Ava, Stephen, Parker, Wyatt, Ryan, and Elise, and never missed an opportunity to attend school and sporting events. He will be missed by many family members and friends. 

 Robert was preceded in death by his parents Blair and Ann Dietz and is survived by his brother Frank (Diana) Dietz. 

Robert had an endless love for fishing and the outdoors. He spent many years in retirement traveling with his family. He had a contagious laugh and was always thrilled to meet someone new. He was a lifelong learner, always seeking out new experiences and was a proud, retired member of Local 17 Heat & Frost Insulators.

A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, December 22, from 4pm until 7pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake.   A memorial mass will be at 10am on Monday, December 23, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 451 W. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake.
