Robert Hamilton, Sr

Robert C Hamilton Sr.,79, of Lake Barrington passed away on Monday, March 2, 2015.

Mr. Hamilton grew up in Barrington and lived most of his life there. He was a former officer at the First National Bank and Trust Co. of Barrington. He was active in community affairs during his banking career and served as Chairman of the American Heart Association in Ela and Cuba Townships and served as the Treasurer for the local March of Dimes. He was also a proud member of the US Army Reserves.

Bob had an avid interest in art and over the years pursued his hobby of painting. He had the pleasure of showing many of his paintings at Art in the Barn, the Old Woodstock Courthouse and other local venues.

Bob is survived by this wife, Jan of fifty years and their children, Robert Jr. (Cory) and Colleen Vap (Mark) as well as three Grandchildren, Nicole Hamilton, Kyle Hamilton and Joshua Vap.
Bob’s family is grateful for the care he received from the staff at JourneyCare Hospice in Barrington.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at St. Anne Catholic Church, 120 N. Ela Street, Barrington.
