Robert S. Herzog, 89, of Barrington, passed away Sunday, September 13, 2015 with his loving family by his side. He was born April 23, 1926 in Chicago to Markus and Apolonia (Haison) Herzog. Bob was a proud graduate of the University of Illinois and served in the Army Air Corps. He was united in marriage to Audrey Weibler on Feb. 18, 1950. During his professional career, Bob was an advertising and marketing executive, and an entrepreneur.

In addition to his loving wife, Audrey, he is survived by his children, Mark (Nancy), Laura (Marty Minney) Herzog, Carl (Cyndee), Therese (Wes) Gustafson, Lisa (Scott) Hennin, Julie (Pete) Stearney; grandchildren, Kevin (Katie Trapino) Herzog, Mike (Mariel) Herzog, Katy (Tony Surma) Herzog, Jessica (Steve) Schultz, Ali Herzog, William Herzog, Elyse Gustafson, Stephanie (Don) Amfahr, Taylor Gustafson, Natalie Hennin, Morgan Hennin, Madelyn Stearney, and Ethan Stearney; great-grandchildren, Aidan, London, Sophia, Anthony, Enzo, Mia, Audrey, and Liam; and his sister, Mildred (Joe) Brodner.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Richard, and infant son, Michael.

Visitation will be held Fri., Sept. 18, from 4-9pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 149 W Main St., Barrington, IL 60010. Visitation will continue Sat., Sept 19, from 9:30am until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am at St. Anne Catholic Church, 120 Ela St., Barrington. Burial will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to JourneyCare Hospice, 405 Lake Zurich Rd., Barrington, IL 60010.
