Robert Clarence Johnson, 87, of North Barrington; passed away November 25 peacefully at home. Beloved husband of Dorothy nee Pringle. Loving father of Dr. Janice Johnson (Robert Dunk), Robert P. (Susan), Nancy Jo (Jack) Walsh, James (Kelly), Linda (Derrick) Kraus. Proud grandfather of Sarah, Andrew and William Dunk; Lisa and Amy Johnson; Kelly, Anna and Collin Walsh; James, Jake and Allison Johnson; Grace and Gabrielle Kraus. Cherished cousin of Doris (Knutson) Clouse and family.

He was born September 23, 1926 in Chicago and attended North Park Academy and Junior College and graduated from Missouri Valley College. He cherished his gatherings of the North Park friends throughout the years and was always proud of his Swedish heritage.

Robert was a Navy veteran. He spent a successful sales career with Mead Papers. He was active in the Presbyterian Church of Barrington, serving as an elder and leading Kitchen Kabinet for many years. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, magic tricks, model ship building and spending time with family. He was a member of Biltmore Country Club. He built an award-winning log cabin in his backyard where he enjoyed hosting fish fries and woodworking.

Visitation Saturday, December 7 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at The Presbyterian Church of Barrington, 6 Brinker Road, Barrington. Memorial Service from 2:00-3:00 p.m. to follow at the church. Interment private.
