Robert Keeler

The funeral service for Robert E. Keeler, 82, of Lake Barrington, formerly of Western Springs, will be held Monday, April 5, 2010, at Grace Lutheran Church, 4101 Wolf Rd., Western Springs, IL 60558. The Reverend Steve Riordan will officiate. Interment will be in Chapel Hill Gardens West Cemetery, Oakbrook Terrace. Born January 16, 1928, in Hammond, Indiana, he passed away Thursday, April 1, 2010, at Good Shepherd Hospital, Barrington. Mr. Keeler was a 1946 graduate of Lyons Township High School and a graduate of the University of Iowa, Iowa City. Survivors include his David (Patti) Keeler of Marengo, Diana (Rick) Davis of Lake Barrington, and Robert (Peggy) Keeler of LaGrange; and grandchildren, Kristin, Ricky, and Jonathan Davis, and Robbie and Joey Keeler. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor (nee Nemec); parents, Robert S. and Blanche (nee Edwards) Keeler; and sister, Nadine Heil. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Mr. Keeler's name may be made to the American Diabetes Association, diabetes.org or 1-800-DIABETES, or to the Church.
