Robert S. Rathford

Robert S. Rathford, 86, passed away Thursday, March 18, 2021 in Barrington. He was born in Joliet on May 26, 1934 to Robert E. and Mary Ellen (Moriarty) Rathford.

Survivors include his children, Tom Rathford, Michael Rathford, and Kathy (Chris) Kaiser; grandchildren, Eric, Alex, Sarah and Katie Kaiser; and siblings, Ann (Gary) Still and Steve (Sue) Rathford. He is also survived by his life partner, Mary Lundvick and her family.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Jeannette and Mary.

Bob was a Veteran of the US Army and spent his career in sales, most recently selling safety equipment. He was a former member of the Crystal Lake Country Club and enjoyed his many years of playing golf there. He loved traveling, with Mexico and France being his favorite places. Bob enjoyed reading and listening to music. He was a great cook and loved eating out with friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
