Robert Ristau

Robert W. Ristau, 85, of Hoffman Estates, was born October 10, 1930 in Chicago to Harold and Mamie (nee Kollie) Ristau. He passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 in Barrington.
After a 40 year career with sheet metal workers local #73, he retired from International Test & Balance Company in 1993. Robert was a US Army veteran, and a member of various groups, including the G.A.S club, the Tri-Village RC’ers, and the Academy of Model Aeronautics, dedicated to building and flying model airplanes.
Robert is survived by his wife, Lucille (nee Grill) Ristau, whom he married on October 28, 1950 in Chicago; his children, David (Becky) Ristau, and Gail (Michael) Palmier; his grandchildren, Matthew Ristau, Adam Ristau, Jacqueline Coughlin, Gregory Palmier, Andrew Palmier, and Elizabeth Donofrio; and his great grandchildren, Landon, Felicity, Grace and Annabelle Ristau, and Payson Coughlin.
He is preceded in death by his sister, brother and parents.
A memorial service will be held at 11am, Friday, July 1, 2016 at the Lutheran Church of Martha & Mary, 606 Golf Rd., Mt. Prospect.
