Robert Schwilk
October 6, 1920 — February 26, 2016
Robert “Bob” Schwilk, 95, of Prairie Grove, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2016. He was born on October 6, 1920 in Chicago to Ernst and Julia (nee Johansson) Schwilk.
Bob was a proud veteran of the United States Army where he served in the Aleutian Islands on the Island of Adak. He was a district engineering manager for Illinois Bell for many years, as well as an avid golfer and fisherman.
He will be deeply missed by his daughter, Donna (Charles) Coventry; grandchildren, Rob (Emmy) and Chris Coventry, Pamela (Reza Khan) and Jeff Schwilk; great-grandchildren, Evan and Noah Coventry, Petra Khan; his siblings, Virginia Zych and Ernest Schwilk; daughter-in-law, Ardell Schwilk. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 67 years, Norma Schwilk; his son, Ken Schwilk and by his parents.
Graveside services and interment will be held Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at 11:30 AM at Mt. Emblem Cemetery, 520 E. Grand Ave., Elmhurst, IL.
